Introduction
AI Bank Statement Converter ("we", "our", or "the Service") takes your financial data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.We process uploaded files to extract data. Original PDFs and extracted results can be stored for review, download, and processing recovery. File-format converters that run locally process their source files in your browser.
What We Collect
When you use our Service, we may collect:
- Files uploaded for OCR and document processing
- Extracted financial data, saved results, and AI review history
- Account and billing information needed to operate your account
- Conversion and recovery data stored in your browser
Uploaded documents may contain account numbers and other financial information. Submit only documents you are authorized to process.
How We Use Your Data
We use this data for the following service functions:
- Extract data and convert the files you submit
- Save results for review, correction, export, and processing recovery
- Answer your requests through the optional AI review assistant
- Operate your account, billing, and service-related email
Cloud OCR and AI review send the relevant document content or extracted data to processing services. Local file-format conversion runs in your browser.
Storage and Deletion
Original PDFs saved to your account become eligible for retention cleanup after the configured period (currently 6 months). Expired copies are removed when retention cleanup runs. This cleanup does not remove saved extraction results or account information.
The OCR service also stores temporary source files and processing results to support extraction and recovery. These processing copies have a separate configurable cleanup period. Some conversion and recovery data is also kept in browser storage on your device.
Deleting a saved document removes it and its review history from your account, and requests cleanup of its associated stored files. Temporary OCR copies follow their separate cleanup period. This action does not remove files you have already downloaded or copies remaining in browser storage, and does not control retention of any backups or copies held by external processing services.
Third-Party Services
The service uses infrastructure and processing providers for these functions:
OCR and optional AI review send the document content or extracted data needed for those requests to processing services. Payment processing uses billing and payment information. Provider-side retention and backup schedules are separate from the application's document-deletion controls.
Security
The service includes these application controls:
- Password hashing for password-based accounts
- Account ownership checks for saved documents
- Signed, expiring access tokens for conversion jobs
- Internal authentication for OCR job storage requests

Children's Privacy
This Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app at least 7 days before changes take effect.
